Unique with a variable transmission ratio
In contrast to conventional Planetary Mills, the rotational speed of the grinding bowls and supporting disk can be configured separately in the PULVERISETTE 4 classic line with 2 working stations. Your advantage: A single mill for mechanical activating and alloying providing optimum grinding conditions suited to the respective material to be ground and the size of the grinding bowls and balls! For results that cannot be achieved with other Ball Mills.
The mill is controlled by integral software, in which up to 9 programmes can be saved and then loaded quickly and easily via the mill display.
Variable Transmission Ratio
The PULVERISETTE 4 classic line also operates according to the Planetary Principle, but the transmission ratio between grinding bowls and supporting disk is variable adjustable. Your advantage: You can directly influence the movement and paths of the grinding balls: Depending on the setting, you can obtain high impact energy or high friction, according to your needs, or have your PULVERISETTE 4 classic line operate as a Centrifugal Mill. You are free to choose all intermediate levels and combinations between friction-based and impact-based comminution.
Due to the rotational speed of the main disk – up to 400 rpm – achieves the PULVERISETTE 4 classic line a centrifugal acceleration of up to 22 g.
GTM – Gas Pressure and Temperature Measuring System
The Vario-Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 4 classic line can be combined with the GTM-System for measuring of the gas pressure and temperature during grinding. This turns your mill into an analytical measuring system.

The Vario-Planetary Mill PULVERISETTE 4 classic line with 2 working stations operates with 2 respectively 4 grinding bowls of sizes 12, 45, 80, 250 or 500 ml. The transmission ratio between grinding bowl and planetary disk is variably adjustable. To achieve best grinding results, grinding bowls and grinding balls are available in various sizes and 6 different materials. Contamination of the samples due to undesired abrasion can be directly prevented. For grinding in inert gas, for mechanical activation and alloying are gassing lids recommended.
